Enjoy a stroll through the breathtaking Bamboo Forest, gaze at the glimmer of the gold as it reflects on the water at the Golden Pavilion, be inspired by one of the most iconic views of Kyoto from the mystical Kiyomizu Temple, weave through the traditional backstreets of one of Kyoto's geisha districts, take a spiritual walk through the magnificent red torii gates at the Fushimi Inari Shrine, and so much more! This is exactly what you want in a city bike tour! You will have the opportunity to soak in all the world famous sites and indulge in scenic panoramas along some of Kyoto's finest waterways. Come enjoy the beauty of Kyoto with great company, and knowledgable guides to maximize your stay in Kyoto on an unforgettable cycling journey! This is a full city tour of approximately 40km of riding with walking at each of the sites and requires a moderate level of fitness. Basic bicycle riding skills and a sense of adventure is a requirement. On the same note, we will travel at a leisurely pace with enough time to take in the sites. This is a mixed group tour with other travelers and typically runs 8-9 hours depending on the pace of the group. Minimum age requirement is 16 years of age. The tour includes a bilingual native English speaking guide, bottled water, a helmet, a bicycle, admission fees, a light lunch, and an amazing adventure! *Please contact us directly if you are interested in a private tour. We also have options for specialized bikes (ebikes, child bikes, child seat bikes.) Advanced notice is required and fees may differ for tours which require specialized bikes. Tour start time may differ in the Winter months (Dec 1 - March 1). Due to limited daylight, Kiyomizu Temple may not be included in the Winter months.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing Kyoto Bike Tour. We appreciate your business and are excited to show you around our lovely city. Please read the following regarding our refund policy and liability waiver agreement. You are eligible for a refund if you contact us more than 24hrs before the start time of your tour. All refunds are subject to a refund fee. No shows will not receive a refund. In the event of a 60% chance of rain according to the Japan Meteorological Agency forecast, you will be contacted the night before about the status of the tour. If there is a cancellation, you will be issued a full refund or be assisted with rescheduling your tour if possible. In regards to fitness, the guide reserves the right to refuse a guest he deems unfit to ride. Please be aware that you should be in a moderate fitness level and be capable of basic bicycle riding skills. Reserving a spot acknowledges your agreement that you are able to competently ride a bicycle. It also prohibits other interested parties from taking your spot, therefore there is a no refund policy due to an inadequate level of fitness or inability to ride a bicycle. You will also receive a PDF file with our liability waiver. Booking a tour acknowledges that you have agreed to and signed the liability waiver form. Thank you for your understanding.
